About the position The Associate Director of US Marketing for Oncology Market Access at Merck Sharp & Dohme is responsible for developing and executing strategies that ensure patient access to oncology medicines. This role involves collaboration with various internal teams and external partners to support brand products and drive growth. The position operates within a hybrid work model, combining in-office and remote work, and requires a strong focus on market access strategies, payer value propositions, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities • Work closely with internal functions and external agency partners to develop customer-specific strategies for patient access. • Develop comprehensive payer/market access strategies aligned with brand marketing objectives. • Input into the development and execution of payer value propositions, pricing strategies, and promotional initiatives. • Act as the main point of contact for resource support and planning for field-facing teams. • Provide input from a US perspective into Global Access Teams and new product planning teams. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Marketing, Marketing Customer Management, Managed Care, or Sales. • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. • Excellent leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal. • Strong judgment, prioritization, and decision-making skills. • Understanding of healthcare trends and policy issues. Nice-to-haves • Experience in Oncology/Oncology Payer/Buy-And-Bill marketing. • AD level of Marketing or Managed Care/Payer Marketing experience.
