Biometrics Senior Consultant- Remote/Delivery Center Role

Read more about our opportunity below... • *Work you'll do** - Keep a continuous pulse on the biometrics industry, survey the ever-changing provider landscape, track emerging use cases and identify opportunities. - Analyze results of tests on biometric performance such as those published by NIST, produce reports, summaries, white papers, baseball cards and other material to advise clients, build eminence and support pursuits - Develop biometrics applications for internal testing, proofs of concept, and rapid prototyping. - Identify, evaluate and communicate complex biometric and technology risks and incorporate them into design of systems, policies and controls - Multitask and switch gears to meet changing priorities and tasks to accomplish goals/objectives. - Work in a distributed team environment where team members are spread across numerous locations and often communicate virtually to support delivery and pursuit efforts - Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement - Communicate the biometric aspects of both the production support and maintenance at the technical and functional level to maintain or resolve a technical situation - Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services. • *The team** From our centers, we work with Deloitte consultants to design, develop and build solutions to help clients reimagine, reshape and rewire the competitive fabric of entire industries. The US Delivery Center supports a collaborative team culture where we work and live close to home with limited travel. • *Qualifications** Required: - A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required - 5+ years of related experience with biometrics, image/video/signal processing, pattern recognition, in addition to: - Computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, statistical analysis - Programming in C/C++, C# or Java/J2EE - Biometric algorithms, capture devices, applications - Hands-on experience with biometric hardware and software including: - Installing and configuring devices and systems - Developing application software using APIs - Oversee other developers/engineers and act as a project lead when required. - Develop technical documentation. - Ability and willingness to develop creative solutions to business problems and work well within a team environment - Solid diagnostic, testing, and problem-solving skills - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States with no sponsorship - Travel up to 15% - Ability to obtain & maintain the required security clearance if needed Preferred: - Must have good communication and collaboration skills - Good organizational and time management skills - Must be team-oriented and able to collaborate across many participating teams - Experience supporting Federal projects - Prior professional services or federal consulting experience - Previous product and platform development experience Apply tot his job
