Digital Literacy & Technology Instructor (Virtual, Bilingual English/Spanish)

Televeda is an online platform dedicated to reducing loneliness and building confidence and connection through engaging, interactive experiences for older adults. We are seeking a warm, patient, and bilingual Digital Literacy and Technology Instructor to help senior citizens, senior centers, and community groups feel more confident using technology in fun, approachable, and meaningful ways. This role blends education, games, and connection. You’ll support participants in learning practical tech skills, exploring new tools, and building confidence, all within an encouraging, low-pressure environment where questions are always welcome. Role Overview As a Digital Literacy and Technology Instructor, you will lead a mix of structured group programming and interactive tech-based games. You’ll support both large senior center groups and individual Televeda members through live virtual sessions, with opportunities to contribute to on-demand tech education resources. Key Responsibilities • Lead Cyber Squad Bingo sessions that combine a short digital literacy lesson with an interactive bingo game to reinforce learning in a fun, memorable way. • Create and deliver clear, engaging presentations for Cyber Squad Bingo, with guidance and support from the Televeda team. • Design and run themed bingo games that align with each tech lesson. • Host Tech Games sessions 1 to 2 times per week using accessible tech-based games such as Kahoot, Jackbox, mobile phone activities, or similar tools. • Incorporate mini tech lessons and offer basic tech help during Tech Games sessions. • Create a welcoming, encouraging environment where older adults feel comfortable learning at their own pace. • Adapt teaching style to support participants with varying levels of tech experience and confidence. • Collaborate with the Community Director on scheduling, content ideas, and engagement strategies. • Potentially create short recorded videos or presentations for Televeda’s on-demand digital literacy offerings. • Teach comfortably in both English and Spanish to support our bilingual community. Required Cyber Squad Bingo Availability (2026) This role requires full availability on the following Thursdays at 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 2:00 PM Mountain Time. These sessions are a core part of the role. • January 22 • February 19 • March 19 • April 23 • May 21 • June 18 • July 23 • August 20 • September 17 • October 22 • November 12 • December 10 Scheduling Details • Cyber Squad Bingo sessions occur on the fixed dates and times listed above. • Tech Games sessions are held 1 to 2 times per week and scheduled collaboratively based on instructor availability and member interest. • Most sessions take place on weekdays during daytime hours. Qualifications • Experience teaching digital literacy, technology basics, or providing tech support to older adults or beginners. • Comfortable creating presentations and interactive activities for virtual instruction. • Fluent in both English and Spanish. • Warm, patient, and encouraging personality with a genuine desire to help others learn. • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain tech concepts clearly and simply. • Comfortable hosting virtual classes and games using video conferencing platforms. • Reliable computer, working camera, and strong internet connection. Independent Contractor Agreement • This is a contractor position, not an employee role. • Your bio, photo, and class descriptions may be used for promotional purposes while you are under contract with Televeda.
