Dispatch Assistant - Military Move (SCA)

About the position The Dispatch Assistant at HomeSafe Alliance plays a crucial role in scheduling drivers' routes and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries for military household goods moves. This position supports the logistics of relocating military and government households, contributing to a seamless moving experience for clients. The role requires effective communication, data entry, and coordination with team members to meet operational needs and maintain high service standards. Responsibilities • Assist in scheduling loads for delivery and assigning them to drivers or common carriers based on inventory levels and operational needs. • Reconcile drivers' work to ensure completion as scheduled, making necessary adjustments to system work orders and customer inventory. • Assist with ticket/data entry and recording of statistics and driver performance. • Answer and process incoming customer calls and manage customer service overflow. • Perform other duties as assigned to support specific department/business needs. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED. • 1-2 years' experience working as an assistant dispatcher or dispatcher preferred. • Experience in military household goods or military moves is highly preferred. • Excellent communication skills. • Proficient in MS Office. Nice-to-haves • Experience with dispatch software, logistics platforms, and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) preferred. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
