Executive Assistant Director

• This position reports to and works very intimately with the Executive Director, with the potential of being promoted to replace the Executive Director at some point in the future. This position serves as part of the Management Team. • As Gratia Plena is recognized by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston as a Private Association of the Christian Faithful and our statutes have certain requirements of our leadership and board, the successful applicant must be an actively practicing Catholic who participates in the sacraments and a daily prayer life, is registered at a parish, known by the pastor; must be faithful to the teachings, values, and traditions of the Catholic Church and willing to attest as such in a vetting document of Gratia Plena, and able to obtain multiple references who support the candidate as being a Catholic in good standing. • Must be a person of good moral character, able to avoid serious sin; a person of humility and a lover of people in the image of Christ, especially those who are poor, disabled, very young or old, and most vulnerable. • Must have good leadership qualities and skills, inspiring others to be the best version of themselves at work and in their personal lives; must have a teamwork and servant leadership philosophy and approach. • Must have nonprofit organization employment experience at the management or supervisory level. • Must be willing to be intimately involved in fundraising activities; previous experience in this area is required. • Must be able to understand and manage a budget • Must have basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet navigation, et cetera). • Must have some familiarity with basic accounting principles; experience with Intuit QuickBooks software or ability to learn its basic navigation is required, though this position does not involve accounting work per se. • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally. • Healthcare sector experience, especially behavioral health, is preferred but is not required • Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are desired but not required. • Able to travel around the Greater Houston area to other offices or events. • Able to work full-time, mainly at the corporate office • Able to work with the Board of Directors; previous board experience required Apply tot his job
