About the Role: Teaching English Online with Preply As a certified English Tutor on Preply, you'll be responsible for teaching English online to students from diverse backgrounds and age groups. With our flexible platform, you'll have the autonomy to create your own schedule, set your own price, and choose from a wide range of students. Whether you're a seasoned educator or an experienced tutor, we'll provide you with the tools, training, and support to excel in your role. Key Responsibilities: Teach English online to Preply students worldwide, using your own lesson plans or our curriculum Set your availability and schedule lessons with students using our integrated calendar Access training and professional development opportunities through Preply's Tutor Academy and regular webinars Provide comprehensive materials and resources to meet students' needs and track their progress Engage with students, be patient, and create a supportive learning environment Continuously evaluate and improve your teaching methods to ensure student success Essential Qualifications: Proficiency in English (native or near-native fluency) A University degree or Certificate to teach English (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, etc), or equivalent qualification in English language teaching Experience teaching one-on-one classes, preferably online, with proven results High-speed internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace Energetic, patient, responsible, and cheerful demeanor Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with online language learning platforms Knowledge of curriculum design and lesson planning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs Skills and Competencies: To succeed as an English Tutor on Preply, you'll need to possess a combination of teaching skills, technical skills, and personal qualities.
