Our team of experts is dedicated to building a world-class data platform that enables us to deliver personalized content to our users at scale. **About the Role** As a Full Stack Software Engineer on our Distributed Systems and Data Platform team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying scalable and efficient distributed systems that meet the needs of our business. You will work closely with our data engineers, product managers, and TPMs to architect and build a strong, versatile, and highly accessible distributed foundation. Your expertise will be essential in driving cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and TPMs across groups. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and build scalable and efficient distributed systems that meet the needs of our business * Architect and build a strong, versatile, and highly accessible distributed foundation * Drive cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and TPMs across groups * Offer expertise to the open source community and contribute to blithequark OSS * Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality code is delivered * Collaborate with data engineers to design and build data pipelines and data warehousing solutions * Work with product managers to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs * Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for production issues **Focus Areas** * **Database Access Stage**: This team builds and operates an adaptable query engine that works with data reflections to operate at sub-millisecond latencies while allowing Netflix microservices to more easily store, consume, and manage their data. * **Data Stage Foundation**: This team serves as a platform for our own data platforms. Our common framework and tooling enable Netflix to rapidly enhance on giving cutting-edge data and analytics platforms to the rest of the organization without building customized platforms for each new framework. * **Big Data Figure**: Responsible for giving the cloud-local stage to circulated information handling at Netflix.
