Freelance Video Content Creator (NYC)

We are seeking a Freelance Video Content Creator based in New York City to film and edit short-form content for social media, ads, and our website. This role is ideal for a creator who understands pacing, storytelling, and the visual style that performs well on platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Responsibilities • Film on-location in NYC, capturing high-quality video, clean audio, and b-roll • Edit footage into polished short-form videos (Reels, TikTok’s, Shorts) • Deliver occasional horizontal cuts for website use • Add captions, on-screen text, transitions, and light color/audio correction • Repurpose raw footage into multiple clips per shoot • Collaborate with our team to follow brand tone, messaging, and creative direction What We’re Looking For • Strong portfolio demonstrating short-form video expertise (shooting + editing) • Experience filming people, interviews, UGC-style, or lifestyle content • Reliable, professional, and able to deliver fast turnarounds • You must have your own camera gear, audio equipment, and basic lighting setup • Creative thinker with a strong sense of visual storytelling and trends Project Details • Location: NYC (in-person shoots required) • Type: Freelance / Project-based (ongoing work expected) • Compensation: Competitive, based on experience & project scope (Pay per project - please include your rate card when applying.) · Per Shoot: $250–$300 depending on scope · Per Edited Video: $50–$120 per clip (Reels/Shorts) · Full Shoot + Edit Bundle: $350–$500 (typical package) · Rates may vary based on experience, equipment level, and turnaround speed.
