Location: Delhi, NY Category: Faculty Posted On: Tue Sep 23 2025 Job Description: SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward thinking, and engaging Faculty member to join the School of Nursing Online Masters in Nursing Programs, beginning Spring 2026. This faculty position reports to the Associate Dean of Nursing. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the mission, vision, and institutional learning outcomes of both SUNY Delhi and the School of Nursing. Responsibilities include implementing best practices in online teaching and learning, integrating technology effectively into instruction, and contributing to the ongoing development of online programs. The candidate will also play an active role in promoting student progression, retention, and successful program completion. This is a fully-remote position with asynchronous teaching responsibilities. However, all program-related and institutional meetings are held synchronously in a virtual format. Primary responsibilities of faculty members include teaching assigned courses within the online master's programs, maintaining regular virtual office hours, participation in assessment of courses and program outcomes, management of student learning, systematic program evaluations, and accreditation protocols. Per need, faculty may teach RN-to BSN courses in addition to graduate programs. Teaching Responsibilities • Teach online courses in accordance with the policies set forth by the College and the online nursing programs. • Adhere to the College and nursing program's online course management procedures that are consistent with best practices. • Engage with students using regular and substantive interaction in the online environment. • Commit to student success, retention, and completion using a variety of teaching strategies. • Communicate with students using a variety of electronic means, as necessary. • Assess and evaluate student learning, course outcomes, and program outcomes. Program Development • Participate in online faculty development programs in accordance with policies set forth by the College that includes content related to aspects of online teaching and learning and mandatory campus policy education. • Explore new teaching strategies and technologies and make recommendations regarding course software, equipment, supplies, etc. • Develop and revise online courses in accordance with the policies set forth by the College and Nursing programs • Participate in periodic program evaluation consistent with accreditation standards and criteria. • Participate in annual systematic assessment of the RN-BSN program. • Serve as Course Coordinator for assigned online courses. • Function as a mentor, as needed, for new faculty and as a preceptor for graduate students in MS in Nursing Education. Academic & Organization Commitment • Participate in research-based activities solely or in collaboration with others to including but not limited to: conducting clinical/educational research, grant funding applications, and dissemination of findings. • Serve on nursing program and campus committees. • Participate regularly in faculty meetings. • Participate in accreditation reviews, self-study preparation, and all site visits. • Engage in academic and professional activities in the college and nursing profession. • Pursue scholarly interests solely or in collaboration with others to include, but are not limited to: publications, presentations, manuscript reviews, project and/or program development, etc. Job Requirements: • Doctoral degree required. • Minimum of three years of academic nursing education experience, with at least two years of online teaching experience, with online graduate level teaching experience preferred. • Active and unencumbered RN license in NY State or eligible to obtain it by endorsement. • A minimum of three years clinical nursing experience.
