Graphics Design Intern, Creative Services, Center for Communications

NEA seeks a Graphics Design Intern for Fall 2025 to create print and digital materials supporting public education advocacy. Your Role Key responsibilities include: • Create and design print and digital materials adhering to brand guidelines and deadlines • Retouch and manipulate images using graphic design software • Collaborate with the Creative Director and creative team to develop design concepts • Receive and incorporate feedback from the Creative Director and team • Assemble final files for printing or digital use • Participate in NEA-sponsored group activities and events related to public education About You The company is looking for candidates who: • Are juniors, seniors, recent graduates (up to 18 months), or graduate students • Students pursuing degrees in Education, Political Science, Government, Human Resources, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Business, Finance, Economics, Management, Communications, Computer Science, Journalism, Mass Media, Graphic Design, Digital Communications and other disciplines are encouraged to apply. • Have skills in graphic design software and media manipulation • Can work up to 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule • Possess strong communication, proofreading, editing, and interpersonal skills • Are able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical tasks such as sitting for long periods and carrying light materials • Are willing to travel as needed Compensation & Benefits • Stipend of $20 per hour • Part-time internship with up to 20 hours per week • Flexible schedule with potential for virtual or on-site work at NEA Headquarters Training & Development • Receive guidance and feedback from experienced graphic design and ad agency professionals • Attend weekly meetings and participate in networking events • Gain exposure to public education policy, advocacy strategies, and organizational leadership • Develop skills in collaboration, communication, writing, research, analysis, and organizing tools How to Apply • Submit a resume, cover letter indicating preferred department or area(s) of interest, letter of recommendation, and writing sample • Selected candidates will be contacted for interviews and may be asked for additional samples This job may close before the stated closing date, you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible Report this job Apply tot his job
