The role you?ll contribute:

The Director of Clinical Strategic Sourcing and Value Analysis is responsible for leadership in strategic sourcing functions across clinical direct and indirect spend categories to include value analysis, contracting and supplier relationship management. The director is expected to lead the efforts aimed at implementing processes, operating standards, sourcing methodologies, supplier qualification and collaboration while meeting service expectations of the field in the area of sourcing, contracting and its associated value analysis activities. The director will provide critical strategic sourcing leadership for the organization to deliver against company initiatives related to cost reduction, cost avoidance, supplier rationalization and consolidation. This position is required to lead teams of cross-functional stakeholders through a structured multi step strategic sourcing processes; to capture business requirements, analyze supply markets, develop appropriate sourcing strategy, evaluate prospective supplier responses, select suppliers and negotiate agreements that deliver best in class value to the organization. The director will manage and train a highly skilled group of strategic sourcing/contract managers and clinicians.

? Develops, implements, and monitors an annual comprehensive business plan that progressively enhances the strategies, organizational alignment, talent, processes, and resources of the contracting team and the rest of the organization.
? Develops, implements, and maintains policies and processes that will enhance the contracting and value analysis collaboratives. Creates consistent messaging as a result of these processes so that the message to the field is easily understood.
? Collaborates with the VP Supply Chain and Senior leadership of AHS to define, implement, and manage a yearly cost reduction plan.
? Leverage knowledge of industry and market trends to develop and champion long-term procurement and sourcing strategies.
? Deliver value, drive continuous improvement, and provide savings by applying strategic sourcing leading practices.
? Directs the strategic sourcing team to ensure it effectively achieves lowest ?total cost of ownership? while balancing quality and service outcomes. Acquisition, operational, process and working capital costs along with utilization management will be analyzed and considered as a part of ?total cost?.
? Defines contract portfolio responsibilities, priorities and goals for contract managers ensuring objectives are consistent with company goals.
? Oversees the spend and usage analysis, supplier relationships, product standardization and negotiation processes. Coaches staff through significant complexities and barriers. Leads complex supplier negotiations of significant value/importance to the company.
? Understands the needs of the field and works to ensure that these are met. Establishes and maintains effective tools that communicate decisions, future categories for consideration, and other activities related to how products and services are to be purchased and managed.
? Attracts, develops, and retains talent base. Performs leadership functions with staff such as goal setting, performance reviews, training, and career development.
? Maintains and develops relationships with key stakeholders and works with them and the VP Supply Chain, Office of Clinical Effectiveness, Director of SC Shared Services, Director of SC Support Services, and C-Suite level leaders to ensure that the goals and activities of your department are in alignment and support of AHS Vision statement and business plan.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you?ll need to succeed :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
? Master's Degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain.
? 9 experience in a management/leadership position.
? 5 experience leading projects in a collaborative team environment.
? 3 managing people, projects and time.
? Advanced knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing processes and methodologies.
? Extensive knowledge of clinical products and equipment, the associated marketplace, and the stakeholders involved in the use of these products.
? Demonstrated knowledge of contract structures, terms, conditions, risk mitigation, and experience executing/drafting business requirements and key performance indicators in contracts.
? Proven and successful results in all aspects of healthcare supply chain, contracting, value analysis, vendor relations, project management, and customer service.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
? CMRP - Certified Materials & Resource Professional
