Job Description Summary:
The Office of Enrollment and the Student Experience (ESE) is a mission-driven organization providing a cohesive experience throughout all phases of the student lifecycle, from the admissions and enrollment process through graduation and beyond, by supporting a connected, comprehensive and student-centered approach to the student experience. ESE includes the offices of undergraduate admissions, graduate enrollment, career services, student financial assistance, student success, student experience and student services, systems and analytics. The ESE is committed to a student-first mentality, utilizing a data-driven approach to continuous assessment and improvement across the organization. Most importantly, our goal is to ensure an outstanding experience for students.
The Office for Student Success (OSS) falls within the Division of Enrollment Management & Retention. We serve primarily to support the university's enrollment and retention initiatives through enrollment strategies, special programs, summer and nondegree courses that engage visiting, incoming and matriculated students. Our efforts to enroll a diverse student body include collaboration on access, diversity and international enrollment strategies. As such, we partner with schools and university departments, community-based organizations, international universities and organizations, to promote collaborative and innovative programs that serve our students, leverage GW's strengths, and which further our institutional mission.
Reports to the Associate Vice Provost for Student Success
Position Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Enrollment:
? Work with AVP for Student Success to enhance and expand programs by supporting recruitment and outreach efforts for dual enrollment programs and special program students. The incumbent will have excellent communication skills with the ability to quickly learn the unit's programs and admission requirements, managing a high volume of inquiries and applications through all stages of the enrollment cycle. Other tasks include but aren't limited to:
? Monitor Inbox and Phones; Answer Inquiries
? Maintain dual credit list with DCPS and CCAS
? Admission and Registration for SWW faculty participation
? Print Unofficial transcripts to send to DCPS/SWW
Student Services and Client Relations:
? The position has internal and external facing responsibilities supporting unit operations, special programs and initiatives. The position is the primary point of contact for prospective students, families and community partners interested in non-degree, dual enrollment and summer programs. The position provides appropriate enrollment and student performance reports to dual enrollment partners, per our agreements.
International Processing and Support:
This role is responsible for managing key administrative functions related to international partnerships and student enrollment processes. The position ensures compliance with institutional agreements, facilitates visa processing support, and coordinates essential communication with global partners. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
? Maintain and monitor pre-college MOU agreements
? Schedule quarterly meetings with each partner
? Student Document Preparation for VISA process
? Visa Application Support- Review and submit F1 Visa documents to ISO Gateway
? Route signed MOUs/agreements
? Communicate MOA Agreements with SUFE-CCAS, GWSB, and AUK partners
? Register International Summer students in housing CRN
Community-Based Outreach:
? This role hosts program information sessions and coordinates outreach and programming with campus partners, DCPS dual enrollment and School Without Walls Exposure programs. In addition, this position represents the unit at recruitment fairs and events for special programs.
Application Processing and Banner Coding:
? The position is responsible for application review, processing rate code applications in Banner, and ensuring the receipt of all required enrollment forms. Additionally, it oversees regular enrollment reporting to support timely decision-making, manage program capacity, and maintain accurate records.
This role also handles confidential records and sensitive data and is responsible for registering students in specialized programs such as pre-college and dual enrollment. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
? Reviewing and submitting F-1 visa documents to the ISO Gateway
? Registering international students in housing CRN
? Creating and facilitating International Student Orientation
? Maintaining and distributing the enrollment packet
? Coordinating with the student health insurance team to determine pro-rated costs based on enrollment dates
? Providing dual enrollment support, including posting tuition awards in Banner
General Administrative Support:
? This position will have occasional weekend hours during special program/ event check-ins. It will also provide backup administrative support to the administrative team and represent the unit at campus meetings and programs as needed. The position is based at GW's Foggy Bottom Campus in Washington, DC, but may require travel as needed for projects.
The incumbent may perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Hiring Range
$45,925.13 - $63,191.56
