We're hiring a Part-Time Customer Service Representative to join our Member and Provider Services team.Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves-one that behaves like a doctor in the family.About the roleThis role is a volume-driven customer service and production-based role that handles the daily activities involved in running a health insurance company including customer interactions and back office tasks following standard operating procedures.You will report to the Concierge Operations Manager.Work Location:Oscar is a blended work culture where everyone, regardless of work type or location, feels connected to their teammates, our culture and our mission. #LI-RemoteThis is a remote role. You must reside Texas.Part-Time Shifts:All times listed are in Central Standard Time (CST).Monday & Tuesday: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM (22 hours/week)Monday & Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM (22 hours/week)Monday & Wednesday: 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM (12 hours/week)Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM (15 hours/week)Pay Transparency:The base pay for this role is: $19.00 per hour. You are also eligible for select employee benefits and vacation accrual of up to 64 hours per year.ResponsibilitiesDevelop a comprehensive understanding of the current processes, procedures, and tools associated with the Oscar business model.Work with members, brokers, providers, and Oscar vendors through multiple channels according to assignment needsManage an assigned caseload, maintaining service delivery, productivity, and quality expectationsForm working relationships with all partners.Support the leadership team by identifying issues through established escalation pathwaysMonitor and track the health of all assigned work-in-progress issues.Escalate and resolve issues to ensure appropriate turnaround timesParticipate in process improvement projectsComply with all operational, regulatory, and compliance standards relating to member Personal Health Information (PHI)Compliance with all applicable laws and regulationsOther duties as assignedQualifications1+ years of experience in a high-volume or customer-focused setting.1+ years of healthcare experienceHigh school diploma or GEDBonus PointsStrong quantitative or analytical skills focused on identifying or solving problemsExperience manipulating and entering accurate dataAdvanced Google Suite or Microsoft Office capabilitiesThis is an authentic Oscar Health job opportunity.
