Job Summary As a Part-Time REMOTE Student Services Specialist I, you will be responsible for managing operations to ensure continuous improvement of student services, acting as a liaison between students, faculty, and college and university departments, and providing assistance in completing application and enrollment documents. This is a temporary, part-time opportunity with a flexible remote work arrangement, allowing you to work from anywhere. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing operations to ensure continuous improvement of student services that increase engagement and retention. Act as a liaison between students, faculty, and college and university departments, providing information and support as needed. Contact prospective students to present information and/or explain available programs and services, communicating effectively through various means. Provide assistance in completing application and enrollment documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Coordinate activities required for enrollment, such as CPR training, inoculations, and/or fingerprinting. Oversee the completion of faculty evaluations by students, compiling and tabulating results, and writing executive summaries. Track and monitor student academic progress for assigned program(s) or cohorts, notifying students of their progress toward graduation. Review degree plans, degree applications, transcripts, and other pertinent materials to ensure that students meet graduation requirements. Respond to requests for student information, as appropriate, from students, credentialing agencies, and/or other institutions. Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, policies, and administrative regulations. Counsel students regarding educational issues, such as course and program selection, class scheduling, and registration, and conduct exit interviews for student withdrawals. Act as advisor to student organizations, ensuring adherence to college and university policies and procedures. Provide feedback and recommendations to management regarding recruiting strategies, customer service, communications, and/or recruitment programs. Complete special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on new challenges. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Up to two (2) years of student services experience in higher education, preferably in a similar role. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as database and data entry skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interpret and explain guidelines, policies, and procedures. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take initiative and provide great attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and collaboration. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working in a remote or flexible work environment. Knowledge of student services software and systems. Previous experience in a law school or similar academic setting.
