People Operations Specialist

People Operations Specialist Hybrid – Phoenix, AZ A1 Garage Door Service is growing fast, and we’re looking for a People Operations Specialist to support our growing workforce. Reporting to the Manager, People Operations & Programs, this role will focus on building out HR systems, answering employee questions, and supporting company-wide programs that make the employee experience seamless. ✨ What You’ll Do ⚙️ Systems & Processes • Help build and improve HR workflows, documentation, and reporting • Manage updates and troubleshooting in UKG Ready and other HR systems • Support compliance activities, including file audits and required postings Employee Support • Serve as a first point of contact for day-to-day employee HR questions • Provide guidance on policies, benefits, and leave programs • Escalate complex matters to the Sr. Manager as needed Program Support • Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and vendor coordination • Support engagement, recognition, and LMS programs to enhance employee development • Ensure smooth coordination across onboarding, offboarding, and HR processes ✅ What You Bring • 3+ years of HR/People Ops experience • Strong knowledge of HR systems (UKG Ready preferred) • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills — able to analyze data, create reports, and develop presentations • Experience with LMS administration is a plus • Detail-oriented with a process improvement mindset • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (HR certification a plus) #INDA1 Benefits and other cool stuff: · Medical, dental, vision, 401K · Paid Time Off · Weekly Pay · Internal Promotion opportunities · Company swag (Please note: benefits are not available for part time, temporary or contract roles) A1 Garage Door (and affiliate companies) provide equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
