Position Summary: This is a wonderful opportunity for those wishing to gain knowledge and experience in medical billing and insurance processes. You will be operating a medical software system to answer patient billing questions while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality. Patient Services is a fast-paced department that handles all patient billing concerns. As a Patient Service Rep you have the opportunity to make an impact daily and assist others in helping them understand their medical bills and options for payment. No previous billing experience necessary. We will train the right person. Opportunity for work from home after 90 days and fulfilling department WFH qualifications. Essential Job Functions: • Taking inbound payment and billing question calls. • Monitor payment plans. • Make outbound calls to update patient payment plans. • Answer billing questions. • Send requests to coding, accounts receivable and the credits team. • Use multiple computer platforms. Qualifications: • High School graduate. • Excellent customer service skills. • Able to work well on a team. • Able to use several computer platforms. • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office. • Able to follow up with patient requests.
