As a Senior Internal Audit Data Analyst, you will be based in the Chewy office in Florida, USA, and will report to the Internal Audit Partner Head of Examination and Automation. This is a full-time, 8-hour role that offers a competitive hourly salary of $25. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent technical skills, and a passion for data analysis and automation. You will be responsible for working closely with the Internal Audit staff to identify and implement analytical and automation opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business risks, and developing and maintaining analytical solutions to drive business insights. Key Responsibilities Work with Internal Audit Staff to identify and implement analytical and automation opportunities within internal audit, leveraging tools such as Mechanical Process Automation (RPA) and Analytical Process Automation (APA). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business risks and develop analytical solutions to mitigate them, creating Tableau Dashboards, running statistical analysis, and developing continuous monitoring over high-risk areas. Develop, maintain, and improve analytical solutions to provide business insights that inform strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities, using tools such as SQL, Excel, KNIME, and data visualization tools like Tableau. Plan, perform, and document data analysis methodologies to validate the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes, internal controls, and regulatory compliance, conducting investigations into data anomalies and meshing findings into a compelling narrative for business stakeholders. Evaluate and maintain the quality and integrity of data being used by working closely with business and Information Warehouse teams, proactively monitoring risk to identify trends that are sources of risk or potential issues, determining root causes, and working with stakeholders on next steps. Review datasets for completeness and accuracy by binding them to sources of truth, demonstrating expertise in data analysis, data science, and internal audit with a strong understanding of statistical methods and data visualization techniques. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess: A Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Information Management, or a related field with an analytical or quantitative emphasis. Strong SQL skills with a working understanding of databases, ETL processes, and data modeling on unstructured or ambiguous datasets across various business functions. The ability to develop production-level code and demonstrated experience with BI Tools (Tableau, Power BI, Knime, OBIEE, Alteryx, etc.). Experience interpreting data, designing metrics, and analyzing results using exploratory and/or statistical techniques, with related experience driving ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) work. Excellent technical skills and a strong enthusiasm for data analysis and analysis, with a self-starter mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced and uncertain environment. Demonstrated analytical skills using SAS, R, or Python, with a basic understanding of statistical methods like regression, predictive modeling, forecasting, time series analysis, and clustering, and the ability to apply those to answer business needs (fraud analysis and anomaly detection). The ability to handle imperfect data and uncertainty, working with both unstructured and structured data, and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, data science, or internal audit with data analysis.
