Sr. React Native Engineer

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for rebuilding our application using React Native and React Native Web. About Welcome to the Block! Description TradeBlock is expanding rapidly and we are looking for a highly skilled engineer to join our React Native development team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for rebuilding our application using React Native and React Native Web. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in building applications with React Native, with working experience in, Expo, Solito, Next.JS, Native Base, Reanimated/Moti and GraphQL. Ideally, you will also have experience working with Swift on iOS and Java on Android. Requirements: • 4+ years of experience developing JavasScript based software • 3+ years of experience working with React and React native • Working knowledge of Next.JS react framework • Extensive knowledge of Node.JS • Work experience RESTful APIs, GraphQL • Experienced with building and using reusable components • Experience or desire working in a small team, fast-paced startup atmosphere • Working experience with Expo Responsibilities: • Focus on developing and maintaining our new mono repo React Native app for iOS, Android, and Web. • Assist in debugging production issues across the application stack • Maintain, modify and extend the existing Native Base component library with custom styling implementation • Work on implementing animations, and gestures logic • Collaborate with product managers during daily standup, grooming, and clarification sessions as part of an agile process • Collaborate with other engineers on day to day work and activities • Share and apply knowledge between other team members • Help improve standards, tooling, and processes Nice to haves: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar • Familiar with various approaches to stress testing for scale • Experience with Algolia AI search engine • Experience with CI/CD automation for mobile apps and web • Passion for sneakers, aka a sneakerhead Benefits: • Fully remote work with occasional office visits in Austin, TX About Tradeblock Tradeblock is the leading Sneaker Trading Platform and Community that enables collectors to use sneakers as currency by becoming a part of a virtual community.
