The Data Analyst will provide data and reporting support to the Data Analyst Team Lead, helping to drive data-informed business decisions. In this role, the team member will assist in identifying unprofitable risk segments and uncover opportunities to reduce premium leakage across all lines of business. The team member will also contribute to improving AIS processes and procedures by performing data analysis, creating reports, and supporting the monitoring of underwriting production and goals. This position is ideal for someone eager to develop their skills in data analytics while supporting a lead analyst and contributing to the organization's success.

State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:

$74,955 to $138,744 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)

$68,141 to $126,131 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)

$61,327 to $113,518 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)

The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.

Responsibilities: ? Data Analysis & Reporting: Assist in generating on-demand reports as requested by the Data Analyst Team Lead and AIS management, creating standardized reporting templates, and ensuring data accuracy. Support the premium leakage initiative to increase profitability. ? Collaboration & Support: Work independently with AIS leaders to identify and provide data support for process improvements, system changes, and innovative ideas. Present analysis needs and work within a project plan that includes business objectives, data scope, research methodology, resources, and timelines. ? Reporting & Productivity Monitoring: Create, monitor, audit, and analyze recurring reports on CSR and Sales Agent productivity, system behavior, call handling, and AIS processes. Look for opportunities to improve efficiency and prepare reports, graphs, and charts based on analysis. ? Tools & Systems Usage: Coordinate and execute reporting, directing and supporting AIS users and leaders in identifying data needed for reporting. Use tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, Winbroker II, Amazon Connect, Taske, and Mercury's Enterprise Data Warehouse to gather and present data. ? General Support: Assist in developing and administrating current and future goals within AIS departments. Perform additional functions as the Data Analyst Team Lead assigns to support team and company objectives.

Qualifications: ? Data Analysis & Reporting: Proficient in performing data analysis and reporting using Excel, SQL, and Power BI. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address operational challenges and assist in the development of new dashboards and visualizations. ? Excel Skills: Strong knowledge of VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, data sorting, and conditional formatting to analyze and present data effectively. ? Data Visualization: Experience using Power BI (or similar tools like Tableau) to create compelling visualizations and metrics. Familiarity with DAX for Power BI or VisQL for Tableau to build insightful and interactive dashboards. ? Data Modeling & SQL: Knowledge of SQL, including inner and outer joins, lag/lead functions, case statements, and basic data modeling/design. Ability to create complex queries and support data-driven decision-making. ? Robotic Process Automation: Basic experience with UiPath or Power Automate for automating repetitive tasks and improving data workflows. ? Industry Knowledge: General understanding of the Property & Casualty Insurance industry, including specific product lines such as Home, Auto, and Commercial. ? Underwriting & Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in underwriting practices, procedures, and data analysis related to premium and loss ratio analysis. ? Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings on underwriting data projects clearly and effectively to management and stakeholders. ? Project Management & Time Management: Capable of producing quality work within tight timeframes, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and working efficiently within a team setting. ? Learning & Self-Development: Must be a self-starter who can quickly learn new responsibilities, adapt to new technologies, and learn from peers or independently. Ability to stay up-to-date with new industry tools and techniques. ? Adaptability & Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed, including occasional overnight or weekend stays. ? Confidentiality & Compliance: Ability to adhere to the company?s privacy policies and ensure the secure handling of sensitive data. ? Technical Knowledge Development: Required to learn SQL, SAS, and potentially R coding if not already familiar, to further enhance data analysis capabilities.

Education/Experience
? Bachelor?s degree; preferably in Business Administration, Mathematics, or Statistics
? Coursework in statistics or business analytics
? At least 3 years of insurance-related experience, preferably in an analytical role
? SAS and SQL training
? Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Work-from-home requirements
? Designated workspace free from noise and other distractions.
? Remote office internet connection via Internet Service Provider (ISP) or Cable Modem.
? High-speed internet access required.
